If there is a sin against life, it consists perhaps not so much in despairing of life as in hoping for another life and in eluding the implacable grandeur of this life. -Albert Camus
my mom went to college too...my daughter goes to college. maybe someday i will finish college. i want to hear the funny stories about the locals. tell stories!! I've been semi in the dumps lately...so...make me laugh!
i will have to find that newspaper quote at home... i know i saved it! kim, i should just type out my journal from that period of my life. lots o lame and good stories...
Send me your journal and I'll type it on your blog for you. HAAAAAAAAAA. hilarious. Well, let me tell you the ugly story. And amanda, remember when after this happened we referred to each other as "Ugly" for a while? Phone rings. "Hello?" "Hey ugly!" "ooooh! Ugly! How the heck are you ugly! was just thinkin about you, ugly.." and so forth. Anyway, Amanda and I were walking down the street in Haleiwa. It's this trendy surf town on the north shore of Oahu. this car drives by, the passenger leans out the window, almost half his body leaning out, checking me out (pretty sure it was me... I can take it amanda... no worries) and goes, "auuuughhhhh! You are UuuuuuuUUUUUggly!!!!!" In the most disgusted voice ever. We were shocked. We were beside ourselves. I personally had to take a seat on the nearby "aloha the bus" stop bench (that's the bus company name...). And I sat there and repeated several times, "I've just been told I was ugly.... oh... my.... gosh...." After a while, we got over the sting and made a joke out of it and even embraced our (or my) ugliness. took on the name of ugly even. Hey manda, let's do that again.

Remember your quote in the school paper? Classic stuff.
OH YES! I do! I need to post that sometime.
I'm VERY jealous. Very. My friend wants to go to Hawaii to celebrate her 30th b-day and wants me to come with. I'm trying to swing it.
Your mom went to college.
And I love her for it.
She's cool.
Tell her Hi.
Will do! Yes, it was nice to go to school in Hawaii. I want to do it all over again, and be more grateful.
That's true about my mom, she's a college grad and then some. She is cool.
i went to fresno state. some of our textbooks had pictures of palm trees with sunsets.
you should also post some of your stories about the locals. like that one who called you ugly?
