I don't generally go see movies. But I saw the Devil Wears Prada last night with some friends and it was excellent. 4 reasons why:
1. The guy who plays Nate in the movie is the guy I've lusted after ever since I saw Crazy for You in Guatemala City, Jan 2000. I'll never forget it. I had come down from boon dock land and got sucked into industrial mayhem that is G.C. for a night on the town. I guess I was needing to be in touch with films, something from my home, something english, and that movie was it, so I ate it up. And ate up the boy star of it. And this boy star was the boyfriend in the Devil Wears Prada.
2. Merryl Streep. I loved watching her. She owned the part.
3. I related to the girl in the new job and though it was a fictitious silly movie, took some take-home hit home messages.
and 4thly: Driscoll's strawberries were featured in the film. That's exciting.

Oh...how i loved this movie. So many quotable lines:
"Thanks! I've been on this new diet."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I don't eat anything ever. And then when I'm just about to pass out, I have a cube of cheese."
"Ah."
I loved that line! Seeing as how I was preparing to wear a swimming suit, i used it alot. In jest.
