There was this thing below my nose and I thought it was a wart. I went to the dermatologist yesterday and he said it wasn’t. Nor was it a mole. He said you can’t really notice it, leave it. I said naw, blast it.
So in comes the anesthetic. Yeah, I was like, whu? It’s just a little thingy. But no, he injected this anesthetic via needle into my upper lip. Anyone ever get a zit up there? That’s a muy sensitivo place. I thought that would be the painful part and it turned out being alright because I’m so very very strong. After that injection, supposedly the worst part, my blood pressure drops to nada and I start blacking out and I could feel my blood pressure literally drop. It’s already pretty calm so this was pretty low. So I lean over to Dr. and tell him I feel faint. He reclines my chair, lifts my knees up and stops the “procedure”, “I just watched you turn completely pale”, and he took my pulse for a few minutes commenting on my lazy heart. It was one of the strangest feelings ever. My body felt like it had no need to take breaths. My neck broke out into a sweat. I voluntarily had to jumpstart the things that are supposed to happen involuntary (ie my breathing). And after about 5 minutes, I felt fine again and he completed the procedure!
The End.

No, he took it off after I stopped blacking out. and I'm doing a-ok!
I JUST RE-READ AND duh...the last line answered my question! Sorry...i've never been very good at reading and comprehension.
HOLD UP KIM. wait just a minute. don't go doggin' on yourself just yet. YOU INSPIRED ME to REVISE my blog and so I did and made that point clear. I am the reading comprehension late bloomer. NOT YOU.
Crazy. Laura, we must be kindred spirits in the arena of low pressure. I know the feeling, and it's freaking wierd. Glad you survived. And what's this about your lazy heart? At least you probably won't have to worry about high blood pressure like the res to world.
ps...this is how I justify my diet coke addiction. The caffiene and sodium temporarily raises my blood pressure so i feel normal-ish.
can I use that, sarita? seriously, laura...every stinkin' time they draw blood or anything. i feel ya. runs in the blood. literally.
You sure can Mary! And I have passed out during many a blood test.
Here's to you low b.p. people! (I'm holding up my diet Pepsi in a toast)....here here! DRINK PEPSI..it's medicinal.
